DEPTH OF FIELD
Depth of field is determined by the Aperture setting and the subject distance.
Depth of field is the amount of the photograph that is in focus.
A more open (eg f2.8) aperture gives you a narrower depth of field.
A more closed aperture (eg f22) gives you a wider depth of field.
A short focal length gives you a narrow depth of field.
A long focal length gives you a wider depth of field.
A small aperture is often used for sports, resulting in a faster shutter speed and a narrow depth of field
A narrow depth of field can be an artistic choice
